For over a decade, we've been raising unique animals with proper care and attention to their natural needs. Not a corporation, just good animals from a good home.
View Available AnimalsWe breed animals that serve a purpose, whether that's for companionship, sustainable food sources, or quality fibre production.
The Flemish Giant is a historic breed traditionally raised for meat production, known for their impressive size and calm temperament. These are working animals that also make surprisingly gentle pets due to their docile nature.
Our breeding stock comes from solid European bloodlines, prioritising health and proper conformation. We raise them in spacious enclosures with plenty of room to move about naturally.
Angora rabbits are bred specifically for their luxurious wool, which is harvested humanely through regular shearing or plucking. The fibre is finer than cashmere and spins into incredibly warm, lightweight yarn.
We maintain a small colony of quality Angoras and harvest their wool every 3-4 months. The animals are accustomed to the process and remain healthy and content. We can provide guidance on fibre processing for those interested in textile production.
These compact rabbits are bred primarily as companion animals, known for their friendly dispositions and manageable size. They're excellent for families or individuals wanting a pet that doesn't require the space of larger breeds.
Our Mini Lops are handled regularly from a young age to ensure they're well-socialised. We focus on breeding animals with good temperament and proper conformation to the breed standard.
In addition to rabbits, we occasionally have other specialty animals available.
Efficient egg layers and suitable for small-scale meat production. These birds mature quickly and require minimal space compared to chickens. We raise several colour varieties and can provide started birds or fertile eggs.
Perfect for those wanting to produce their own eggs or meat in a suburban setting. They're quiet birds that won't disturb neighbours.
We maintain several heritage poultry breeds known for their egg production and ability to forage. These aren't your commercial hybrid layers - they're hardier birds with more natural behaviours and longer productive lives.
Available as point-of-lay pullets or occasionally as breeding trios. We focus on breeds that do well in our climate and have sensible temperaments.
This isn't a commercial operation - it's a small-scale breeding endeavour run from our property in regional Australia. We've been raising animals for over fifteen years, starting with a few hens and expanding to include the specialty breeds we work with today.
Our approach is straightforward: provide proper care, adequate space, and respect each animal's natural behaviours. We don't overbreed or keep animals in inappropriate conditions. What we produce each season depends on the animals themselves and their condition.
With the rabbits specifically, we maintain traditional breeds that have purpose. The Flemish Giants are substantial animals that were originally developed for meat production, and we respect that heritage while also appreciating their surprisingly gentle natures. The Angoras are working animals too - their wool is harvested humanely, either by shearing or careful plucking during their natural moult cycles.
We're happy to share what we've learned over the years with new owners. If you're after animals that have been raised with proper attention to their needs, you're in the right place.
"I'm not here to make a fortune, just to raise good animals properly. If you're after quality animals that have been raised with care and attention to their natural needs, you've come to the right place. I'm always happy to chat about proper care and what to expect with these breeds."
We don't always have animals available immediately, but we maintain a list of interested people for future litters and hatches.
We're a small operation, so we don't maintain large numbers of animals ready to go at any given time. Instead, we breed according to the animals' natural cycles and our capacity to properly care for them.
If you're interested in any of our animals, the best approach is to let us know what you're after. We'll add you to our contact list and get in touch when we have something coming up that matches what you're looking for.
We prefer to deal directly with people who have done their research and understand what's involved with keeping these animals. If you're new to a particular breed, that's fine - we're happy to share what we know - but we do appreciate people who have at least done some basic reading first.
